Thank you for visiting my website! I am currently a doctoral researcher in political science at the European University Institute, supervised by Professor Simon Hix. During the Fall and the Spring Semester 2025/2026, I am also a Fellow at Harvard University's Department of Government.
I am broadly interested in comparative politics and political behavior. My current research focuses on two main questions:
1) How does media coverage of the most salient and contentious issues of our time - such as immigration and climate change - influence the political attitudes and behaviors of ordinary people?
2) How can we (as social and behavioral scientists) enhance political participation in democratic societies?
Methodologically, my main expertise lies in the areas of survey research, experiments, and causal inference with observational data. Beyond my own empirical work, I actively develop methods and tools to improve the robustness of social-scientific research.
I have published articles in academic journals like Comparative Political Studies, Political Science Research and Methods, European Journal of Political Research, and Research & Politics, among others. My research has been covered by news outlets such as The Guardian and Financial Times.
Being a quantitative social scientist, I also identify as a member of the broader open science community. In this capacity, I am a frequent contributor to various interdisciplinary big-team collaborations on the topics of metascience and replicability, some of which have been published in journals like Royal Society Open Science and Journal of Open Psychology Data.
